MiLB CEO Pat O’Conner to Deliver Keynote at the 2017 Spring Nashville Leadership Luncheon
Nashville, TN – Host and founder of the Nashville Leadership Luncheon, Blain Wease of the Provincial Development Group, Inc, announced today that the keynote speaker for the spring event will be Minor League Baseball CEO Pat O’Conner. “To have the opportunity to address and speak with business professionals in a thriving community like Nashville, where we happen to have a successful Minor League Baseball team, the Nashville Sounds, is a distinct honor for me,” said Pat O’Conner.
The luncheon is scheduled for Friday, May 12th and will be held at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to have such an inspiring leader from the world of baseball, that communicates as effectively as Pat does,” said Blain Wease.
Pat O’Conner will be joining a distinguished list of guests, including legendary recording artist Ricky Skaggs and Nashville Sounds General Manger Adam Nuse. The keynote is presented by Continuum Planning Partners, in conjunction with the Nashville Leadership Luncheon. Capital Financial Group is presenting the Q & A session with Pat O’Conner and event host Blain Wease. The Title Partners of the Leadership Event are the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena.
About Pat O’Conner
O’Conner has spent 34 years in professional baseball, including the last 24 in the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) office. Pat was elected the 11th president of Minor League Baseball in December 2007, and re-elected for a third term in December 2015. Since arriving at the Minor League Baseball headquarters, O’Conner has overseen a period of unprecedented increases in revenue and franchise values. Minor League Baseball has attracted over 41 million fans in each of the last 12 seasons (2005-16) and has drawn over 42 million fans in 2014 and 2015. A native of Grove City, Ohio, O’Conner received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
